Ford, VW reiterate commitment to partner on EVs, self-driving vehicles
Current economic pressures may actually quicken the development of electric vehicles, despite the high cost. Ford is still planning on developing a high-volume electric vehicle for Europe in 2023 using Volkswagen’s MEB platform, with a target of 600,000 units using the EV platform over six years.

Magtrol has recently announced the launch of a new torque sensor, the TS series. This new transducer offers a double signal output, analog and USB which can be used simultaneously, for example one channel for data acquisition and the other one for close loop control of a drive line
Robotics industry raised $46 billion funding last year
A total of $17.8 billion went to acquisitions and a further $29 billion went into investments in robotics industry. Most of the funding was focused on autonomous passenger vehicles, surgical robotics, and warehouse automation, with significant growth for field robotics and drone services.
