In the future, Siemens AG will concentrate on Digital Industries, Smart Infrastructure and Siemens Mobility.

Irish distribution transformer maker gets new owner & saves 400 jobs

State-backed MML Capital Partners has taken a controlling stake in CG Power Systems, in a move that has saved 400 jobs in Cavan, Ireland. The change of ownership is expected to facilitate “significant investment” in CG, which has a 17,000 sqm plant in Cavan.

Delta launches 200-kW charging station for EMEA region

Delta Electronics has just presented its new HPC station for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As the name UFC 200 suggests, the station enables a maximum charging power of 200 kW that can be split into two 100 kW to charge two electric cars at the same time.

France plug-in electric car sales hit new record in June 2020

A new package of government incentives has helped power the French plug-in electric car market to new heights in June. The total number of new plug-in car registrations is 22,630, several thousand above the previous monthly record, and up 231% year-over-year.

German firm Additive Drives is innovating 3d printing in the electric motor sector, with a particular focus on copper windings. The first application cases are promising, the company reports, with one involving cooperation with the Racetech Racing Team EV of the TU Freiberg.

Electric motor manufacturer plans $18 million investment for post-Covid-19 growth

“The global markets will continue to need high-quality electric motors and fans in the future,” said Ziehl-Abegg SE’s CEO Peter Fenkl. That’s why the Künzelsau-based company is now investing $18 million (€16 million) in the expansion of its production buildings at the Kupferzell site.
